Inspired by ages gone by, yet using modern techniques, Crane's new range of low maintenance garden sheds is both affordable and beautiful. The Oxburgh Shed has a sloping roof to allow easy water drainage, with a single door and a traditional set of windows on the front side. Inspiration for the range came from looking at outbuildings situated in National Trust properties around East Anglia. Crane visited and photographed many of these, researching materials and construction and, in collaboration with the National Trust, drew their designs for a real gardeners' delight! These sheds are constructed from FSC Scandinavian redwood and made in Norfolk by skilled craftsmen. Although all Crane buildings have timber floors, you need to have a ready, prepared base that has been laid by a professional before you take delivery. The base must be constructed of either paving slabs laid on mortar or a concrete base no less than 10cm thick. It is also recommended that your base is the metric size of the building to help with water drainage. It is necessary to stress the importance of having a solid, level concrete base for your building, as it is crucial to support the building structure. Crane are unable to install the building if the base is not level when tested with a spirit level. All buildings, irrespective of style, also require clearance around the structure to aid installation, maintenance, redecoration and air circulation, as well as to allow space for the roof overhangs and fascias. Therefore Crane require at least 30cm around all sides of your building. Please refer to the concrete base plan in the Product Information PDF below and do not hesitate to contact Crane for further guidance. Key Features Delivered and installed by the supplier Crafted from FSC certified Scandinavian redwood Under 2.5m high to meet modern planning requirements Single door and traditionally styled windows with toughened glass Cast iron black door furniture with a mortice lock Olden style black corrugated pent roof Traditionally cladded using vertical sawn boards Tongue and groove floorboards Available in 3 sizes A choice of 6 colours from the National Trust paint range
